سفح سعی یک thirst; heat; pain; scab fury. فِي ضِلَالٍ َو سُعْرٍ : In error and insanity (54:48). سَعَى ]aor يَسْعَى if. noun سَعْيٌّ [ : He went or went along quickly; he ran. مِنْ أَقْصَا الْمَدِينَةِ يَسْعَى : From the far side of the city running )28:21( السَّعْى signifies, going along with vigorousness and with lightness, activity or quickness يَأْتِيْنَكَ سَعْيًا : They will come to thee in haste )2:261( سَعَى إِلَيْهِ : He repaired or be-took himself to him. فَاسْعَوْا إِلَى ذِكْرِ اللَّهِ : Goye to the remembrance of God; hasten ye to the remembrance of God (62:10); he strove, laboured or exerted himself. وَسَعَى لَهَا سَعْيَهَا : And strives for it as it should be striven for (17:20); he worked or wrought or did. لَيْسَ لِلْإِنْسَانِ إِلَّا مَا سَعَى : There is nothing for man except what he has wrought or he earned or gained )53:40( سَعَى لِأَهْلِهِ : He earned for his family. سَعَيْتُ فِي اَمْرِ فُلان : Istrove in respect of the affair of such a one, either to reform it or to pervert it. وَالَّذِيْنَ سَعَوْا فِي آيَاتِنَا : Those who strive to falsify or nullify Our Signs or pervert their meaning by impugning their character )34:6( سَعَى بَيْنَهُمْ : He created disorder among them سعی به : He slandered him. سَعَتِ الْمَرْأَةُ : The woman committed adultery . هُوَ يَسْعَى عَلَى قَوْمِهِ : He manages or regulates the affairs of his people. السَّعْى : Striving running; going along with vigorousness; labouring or working. فَلَمَّا بَلَغَ مَعَهُ السَّعْيَ : When he was old enough to work with him; when he was old enough to walk with him )37:103( إِنَّ سَعْيَكُمْ لَشَى : Your efforts or strivings are different )92:5(. سَعِبَ مَسْغَبَةٌ and سَعَبٌ inf. noun يَسْغَبُ aor سَعِبَ and يَسْغُبُ aor سَغَبَ and سَغَبَ : He was or became hungry; he suffered hunger together with fatigue. According to some سَغَبٌ also signifies, thirst or thirst with fatigue. مَسْغَبَةٌ : Hunger or hunger combined with fatigue. يَتَيْمٌ ذُوْمَسْغَبَةٍ : An hungry orphan. فِي يَوْمٍ ذِنْ مَسْغَبَةٍ : In a day of hunger )90:15( اَسْغَبَ الْقَوْمُ : The people entered upon a state of hunger. : سَفَحَ الْمَاءُ He shed blood : سَفَحَ الدَّمَ سَفْحٌ inf. noun يَسْفَحُ . aor] سَفَحَ The water flowed or poured forth. سَافَحَهُ : He contended with him in the shedding of blood. سَافَحَهَا : He committed 396
