اجل restless disposition as they are always on the lookout restlessly to make new conquests. أَجَرَ ]aor يَأْجِرُ and يَأْجُرُ inf. noun أَجْرًا and أَجَرَهُ عَلَى مَا فَعَلَ [إِجَارَةً : He recompensed him or rewarded him for what he had done; he served him for hire or pay; he became his hired man; he let him on hire or for pay اجَرَ الدَّارَ : He let the house on hire [inf. noun He : اِسْتَأْجَرَ الدَّارَ He hired the man : أجَرَ الرَّجُلُ أَوْ اسْتَأْجَرَهُ إِيجَارُ 28 hired the house. عَلَى اَنْ تَأْجُرَنِي : On condition that thou hire thyself to me or that thou serve me on hire. )28:28( يَاَبَتِ اسْتَأْجِرْهُ : O my father, hire him )28:27( اَجْرٌ )plural )أُجُورٌ and إِيْجَارٌ and syn with أَجْرَةٌ and اِجَارَةٌ : A recompense or reward for what one has done. اَجْرٌ is used both for reward from God to man and from man to man while إِجَارَةٌ and أَجْرَةٌ are used for recompense or reward by man to man only. اَجْرٌ also means a dowry or nuptial gift فَأْتُوْهُنَّ أُجُوْرَهُنَّ : Give them their dowries (4:25). The word also means praise, good fame. و = أَجَلَ aor. يَأْجِلُ inf. noun اَجَالاً[ It had a term or period appointed for it, at which it should fall due اَجَّلَ الْاَجَلَ : He defined the term or period; he assigned, appointed or specified it. أَجْلَنِي : He granted me a delay or postponement. بَلَغْنَا أَجَلَنَا الَّذِي أَجَّلْتَ لَنَا : We have now reached our term which thou didst appoint for us )6:129( إِذَا جَاءَ أَجَلُهُمْ : When their appointed time comes )7:35(. لِكُلِّ أُمَّةٍ أَجَلٌ : For every people is an appointed time )7:35( لَاَيِّ يَوْمٍ أجلتْ : For what day they have been delayed or postponed )77:13( مُؤَجَّلٌ : Defined fixed. كِتَابًا مُؤَجّلاً : A decree with a fixed term )3:146( أَجَلٌ : The assigned, appointed or specified term or period; the whole duration of life; its end or death. دَنَا أَجَلُهُ : His death drew near; destruction; the period of a woman's waiting before she can marry again after divorce. فَإِذَا بَلَغْنَ اَجَلَهُنَّ : When they reach their period of waiting ) أَجْلٌ (2:235) (عِدَّةٌ : Because; on account of; for the sake of فَعَلْتُهُ مِنْ اَجْلِكَ : I did it because of thee; on thy account for thy sake. مِنْ أَجْلِ ذَلِكَ كَتَبْنَا عَلَى بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ : On account of this We prescribed for the children of Israel (5:33) Yes. 28 8
