زار He(God) mixes them, males and females; He (God) makes them of different sorts (or sexes), males and females (42:51). تَزَوَّجَ امْرَأَةً : He married a woman or took a woman in marriage. تَزَوَّجَ فِي بَنِي فُلانٍ : He took a wife among the sons of such a one. تَزَوَّجَهُ النَّوْمٌ : Sleep pervaded him. أَزْرَجٌ ) زَوْجٌ plural): Any sort of thing; sort or species i. e class. وَأَنْبَتَتْ مِنْ كُلِّ زَوْجٍ بَهِيجٍ : And grows every kind of beauteous vegetation )226( أَزْوَاجًا مِّنْهُمْ : Some classes of them (15:89); one of a pair or couple of things (not a pair), whether male or female and whether among human beings or among animals or among plants or among any class of things. وَجَعَلْنَا مِنْ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ زَوْجَيْنِ : And of every thing We have created pairs (51:50); a woman's husband or a man's wife; mate; consort; comrade. اُسْكُنْ اَنْتَ وَ زَوْجُكَ الْجَنَّةَ : Dwell thou and thy wife (or thy mate, companion, consort,) in the garden )2:36( وَخَلَقَ مِنْهَا زَوْجَهَا : And from it He created its mate )4:2(. وَأَصْلَحْنَا لَهُ زَوْجَهُ : And We cured his wife for him )21:91( أَزْوَاجٌ : Species; classes; mates; pairs; companions; wives or husbands. أَزْوَاجًا مِّنْهُمْ : Some classes of them )15:89( وَكُنْتُمْ أَزْوَاجًا ثَلاثَةَ : And you shall be three classes (groups or bands( )56:8( هُمْ وَأَزْوَاجُهُمْ : They and their wives (or companions( )36:57( وَلَا أَنْ تَنْكِحُوْا اَزْوَاجَهُ : And that you should not ever marry his wives )33:54( خَلَقَ الْأَزْوَاجَ كُلَّهَا : He (God) has created all things in pairs )36:37(. aor. يَزُوْدُ inf. noun زَوْدٌ[ : He laid in a stock of provisions for travelling or for a fixed residence. زَوَّدَهُ : He furnished him with provisions. تَزَوَّدَ مِسْفَرَةً : He furnished himself with provision for his journey. تَزَوَّدَ مِنَ الدُّنْيَا لِلْآخِرَةِ : Take the provisions from the present world for the next world. زَادٌ : Provisions for travelling etc. ; any deed, whether good or evil, whereby one provides for a change of state or condition like as a traveller provides for a journey. وَتَزَوَّدُوْا فَإِنَّ خَيْرَ الزَّادِ التَّقْوى : And furnish yourselves with provisions, and surely, the best provision is righteousness (or that whereby one provides against begging from others (2:198). زَادٌ also means salutation and returning of a greeting. ]aor. يَزُورُ inf. noun زِيَارَةٌ and زَوْرٌ etc. [ زَارَهُ : He went to him with 367 زوج زَادَ زَارَ
