رزق ردی tumbled down, into a deep pit. وَاتَّبَعَ هَواهُ فَتَرْدَى : He followed his evil inclination and perished )20:17( رَدِىَ is syn. with تَرَدَّى which also means he fell or tumbled down from a mountain into a deep pit; he perished; he died. إِذَا تَرَى : When he falls into the abyss of the fire of Hell; when he perishes; when he dies )92:12( اَرْدَاهُ : He caused him to perish or destroyed him. إِنْ كِدْتُ : Verily thou almost caused me to perish or destroy me. تَرَدَّى : He was or became overthrown الْمُتَرَدِّيَةُ : That which falls from a mountain or an elevated place into a pit and dies; killed by a fall )5:4( رِدَاءٌ : A covering garment. رِدَاءُ الشَّمْسِ : The light and beauty of the sun رِدَاءُ الشَّبَاب : The beauty of youth. كِرْتَ لَتُرْدِيْنِ رَذُلَ ]aor. يَرْذُلُ and رَذِلَ aor. يَرْذَلُ inf. noun رَذُلَ رَذَالَةٌ and رَذِلَ : He was or became low, base, vile or contemptible, in his aspect or circumstances or it (a thing) was or became bad, corrupt, abominable or disapproved. اَرْذَلَ : He did a bad thing. أَرْذَلَهُ : He rendered him base low, mean or contemptible or he pronounced him so or pronounced the thing to be bad. رَذِيْلٌ and رَذْلٌ and رُذَالٌ : Mean, low, contemptible, corrupt. اَرْذَلُ : Comparative noun meaning worse and worst. (plural( اَرَاذِلُ and مِنْكُمْ مَّنْ يُرَدُّ إِلَى أَرْذَلُوْنَ أَرْذَلِ الْعُمُرِ : Who are driven or brought back to the worse or worst part of life or most contemptible part there of i. e. a state of decrepitude and dotage )16:71( وَاتَّبَعَكَ الْاَرْذَلُوْنَ : And the meanest follow thee )26:112( وَالَّذِيْنَ هُمْ اَرَاذِلُنَا : And those who are the meanest amongst us have followed thee (11:28). رَزَقَهُ اللَّهُ رَزْقُ and رِزْقٌ رَزَقَ ]aor. يَرْزُقُ inf. noun : God gave him or granted him or bestowed upon him the means of subsistence; or supplied, provided or blessed him therewith. رَزَقَ الطَّائِرُ فَرْخَهُ : The bird fed its young one. رَزَقَ الْأَمِيرُ جُنْدَهُ : The commander gave the army their subsistence money or allowances or pay. رُزِق : Ita place) was rained upon. كُلُوْا مِمَّا رَزَقَكُمُ اللهُ : Eat of what God has given you or provided for you )589( رَزَقَ فُلانًا : He was thankful to such a one or, acknowledged his beneficence. تَجْعَلُوْنَ رِزْقَكُمْ أَنَّكُمْ تُكَذِّبُونَ : And do you make your thankfulness (or gratitude( to be that you disacknowledge the benefit received or do you 323
