بقر wrongfully or tyrannically against men and deviated from the right way. بَغَى بَعْضُنَا عَلَى بَعْضٍ : One of us has transgressed against the other )38:23( بَعَى فِي مَشْيِهِ : He was proud or conceited in his walk; he behaved proudly, haughtily or insolently . وَلَا تَبْغِ الْفَسَادَ فِي الْاَرْضِ : And do not seek (or endeavour) to create disturbance or mischief) in the land )2878( ابْتَى is syn of بغى inf. noun اِبْتِغَاءٌ وَابْتَغُوْا إِلَيْهِ (2:208) Seeking the pleasure of God : ابْتِغَاءَ مَرْضَاتِ اللَّهِ 28 الْوَسِيلَةَ : And seek the way of approach to Him )5:36( وَمَنْ يَبْتَغِ غَيْرَ الْإِسْلَامِ دِينًا : And he who seeks a religion other than Islam )3:86(. إِنْبَغَى لَهُ : It was or became suitable, fit, right, proper, meet for him; it behoved; it was or became easy or practicable for him. يَنْبَغِي لَكَ أَنْ تَفْعَلَ كَذَا : It does not behove thee that you should do such a thing. مَا عَلَّمْنَاهُ الشَّعْرَ وَمَا يَنْبَغِي لَهُ : And We have not taught him the art of poetry, nor does it behove him )36:70( لَا الشَّمْسُ يَنْبَغِي لَهَا أَنْ تُدْرِكَ الْقَمَرَ : It is not right or possible or easy for the sun that it should overtake the moon )36:41( بَغَى : Tyranny wrong, injustice; excess; transgression; disobedience; exceeding legitimate limits; mischief; corruption or disturbance; much rain. فَأَتْبَعَهُمْ فِرْعَوْنُ وَجُنُوْدُهُ بَغْيًا وَّعَدْوًا : Pharaoh and his hosts pursued them wrongfully and aggressively )10:01( إِنَّمَا بَغْيُكُمْ عَلَى أَنْفُسِكُمْ : Your excesses are only against your ownselves )10:24( إِذَا أَصَابَهُمُ الْبَغْيُّ : When an aggression afflicts them )42:40( بَغِيُّ : A fornicatress, an adulteress or a prostitute )بَغَايَا plural: Scouts بَغَايَا الْجَيْشِ : Scouts that precede army); it also means a female singer. وَمَا كَانَتْ أُمُّكِ بَغِيًّا : And thy mother was not an unchaste woman (a fornicatress etc. ( )19:29( بُغَاةٌ) بَاغِ and بُغْيَان plural): A man who seeks for or after; a man who exceeds proper limits in acting wrongfully; who transgresses; a horse that is proud with exceeding briskness. غَيْرَ بَاغِ وَلَا عَادٍ )act. pat. (: Neither disobedient nor exceeding the limits (2:174). 28 ]aor. يَبْقُرُ or يَبْقَرُ inf. noun بَقْرٌ[ : He slit; ripped; cut or divided lengthwise; he laid open; he widened. بَقَرَ هُدْهُدُ الْأَرْضَ : Hud-Hud (hoopoe) clove the ground and discovered water; he became fatigued so that he could hardly see. بَقَرٌ : Ox or bull; cow; )singular and plural( بَقَرٌ and بَقَرَةٌ) بَقَرَاتٌ singular(. إِنَّ الْبَقَرَ تَشَابَهَ عَلَيْنَا : 81 28 بغی بَقَرَ
