بضع الْأَبْصَارَ : Eyes cannot reach Him but He reaches the eyes )6:104(. بَصِيرٌ i. q. مُبْصِرٌ : Seeing; one who sees. اَلْبَصِيرُ is one of the attributes of God, meaning (1) Who sees every thing and from Whom nothing is hidden; (2) one endowed with mental perception; discerning; intelligent; skilful; possessing knowledge. رَجُلٌ بَصِيْرٌ بِالْعِلْمِ : A man well versed in knowledge. ابو بَصِيرٍ means (1) The dog, because it is one of the most sharp-sighted of animals; (2) a man endowed with mental perception. وَاللهُ بَصِيْرٌ بِالْعِبَادِ : And Allah is mindful of servants فَارْتَدَّ (2:238) God sees what you do : إِنَّ اللَّهَ بِمَا تَعْمَلُوْنَ بَصِيرٌ (3:16) بصر بَصِيْرًا : He became enlightened. يَأْتِ بَصِيْرًا : He will come to know )12:94/97(. إِنَّكَ كُنْتَ بِنَا بَصِيْرًا : Thou possessed full knowledge of us )20:36( بَصِيْرَةٌ : Understanding intelligence; knowledge; skill; mental perception; belief or firm belief; constancy; firmness; a witness; an observer and a witness; an example by which one is admonished; a shield; a coat of mail; an oblong 1 : ادْعُوْا إِلَى اللَّهِ عَلَى بَصِيرَةٍ اَنَا وَ مَنِ اتَّبَعَنِي (plural) بَصَائِرُ . piece of cloth call unto Allah on sure knowledge. I and those who follow me )12:109( بَلِ الْإِنْسَانُ عَلَى نَفْسِهِ بَصِيْرَةٌ : Nay man is witness against himself )75:15( عَلَى غَيْرِ بَصِيْرَةٍ : Without certainty. قَدْ جَاءَ كُمْ بَصَائِرُ مِنْ رَّبِّكُمْ : Proofs have indeed come to you from your Lord. )6:105( هذَا بَصَائِرُ لِلنَّاسِ : This book contains clear evidences for men )45:21( عَمَى الْأَبْصَارِ أَهْوَنُ مِنْ عَمَى الْبَصَائِرِ : Blindness of the eyes is lighter than blindness of the mind. تَبْصِرَةً وَذِكْرَى : As a means of enlightenment and as a Reminder )50:9( مُبْصِرُونَ) مُبْصِرٌ plural, مُبْصِرَةٌ fem. ) : A watcher or guard; giving light; shining; illuminating; conspicuous; manifest; evident; causing to have mental perception or knowledge. وَالنَّهَارَ مُبْصِرًا : And the day full of light, or giving light )10:68( وَجَعَلْنَا آيَةَ النَّهَارِ مُبْصِرَةً : And the sign of day We have made sightgiving (17:13). بَصَلٌ Onion; a helmet of iron pointed in the middle. وَعَدَسِهَا وَبَصَلِهَا : And its lentils and its onions (2:62). و بَضَعَ ]aor. يَبْضَعُ inf. noun بَضَعَهُ [بَضْعًا : He cut it; he cut it in pieces; he cut it lengthwise. بَضَعَهَا : He lay with her. أَبْضَعَهَا : He gave her in 72
