The Holy Prophet sa says that I will say the same thing that the righteous servant of All a h has been reported to have said in the Holy Qur’ a n that I was a guardian and witness over them as long as I was among them but when you caused me to die, you alone were the watcher over them. Then it would be said to the Holy Prophet sa , that as soon as you departed from them, they turned away from their religion. ( S a hih ul-B u kha r i, Kit a but-Tafs i r, under S u rah al-M a ’idah, B a b Wa Kuntu ‘Alaihim Shah i dan, H ad i th no. 4625) From this h ad i th the meaning of the words of Jesus as fallam a tawaffaitan i becomes clear. It becomes apparent that just as these companions of the Holy Prophet sa turned away from Islam after the death of the Holy Prophet sa , in the same manner the practice of worshipping Jesus as spread among the Christians after the death of Jesus. Therefore, from this verse it becomes very clear and certain that Jesus is not living and has died.
