138 The commentary of al-Qa si dah prophethood. No other person has received prophethood while being a follower. This distinction has only been given to the Holy Prophet sa because he is Kh a tamun-Nabiyy i n. It is only through the Holy Prophet sa and by following him that a follower at the time of need can attain prophethood, and this matter is not against the verse of Kh a tamun-Nabiyy i n. Hadrat Im a m Mull a ‘Al i Q a r i writes in his book Mau du ‘ a t-e-Kab i r , that if Ibr a h i m as , the son of the Holy Prophet sa , lived or Hadrat ‘Umar ra would have attained the blessings of prophethood, then they still would have been followers of the Holy Prophet sa. ( Al-Mau du ‘ a til-Kubr a , Mull a ‘Al i Q a r i , p. 192, H ad i th no. 745, Qad i m i Kutub Kh a nah Karachi) Similarly, he says about the h ad i th, ‘There is no prophet after me,’ that according to scholars, there would be no prophet who would abrogate the law that the Holy Prophet sa brought.
