The commentary of al-Qa si dah 141 This couplet is an explanation of the verse of the Holy Qur’ a n: ۙ ۚ Then he drew nearer (to God), then he came down (to mankind), So that he became (as it were), one chord to two bows or closer still. ( an-Najm, 53:9-10 ) This means that the Holy Prophet sa in his journey towards All a h adopted the moral attributes of All a h in such a perfect manner that he became very close to All a h. Then he was sent down to the creatures of All a h and dedicated all of his efforts towards the reformation and betterment of human beings.
