(The Remaining part of the First Speech Delivered after the Z uhr and ‘A s r Prayers on December 27, 1914) Important Issues Facing the Jam a ‘at After reciting tashahhud, ta‘awwudh , and S u rah al-F a ti h ah , H u du r ra said: How Gracious is our Lord towards Muslims and how magnanimously He treats His servants that a true Muslim can never suffer humiliation against anyone in any matter. Unwarranted prejudice, stubbornness and rigidity are utterly despicable and contemptible, but God has bestowed Muslims with such high spiritual stations that no one belonging to another faith can ever attain the loftiness of spirituality equal to them. I was going to speak on some other subject, but happened to recall something while reciting S u rah al-F a ti h ah which I am now going to relate. Human beings, on account of their limited knowledge, commit many errors in making their decisions. There was a time when people believed that the heavens were made of different metals. Later, philosophers suggested that the heavens only marked the endpoint to which a human eye could see, and that there was nothing physical about them.
