•oUR BELoVED MASTER• 114 agreed to the young master’s proposition and said, “What you have said is absolutely correct and proper. We agree to it and accept it. Surely Zaid should be asked. If he wants to live with you, we shall have no objection. But you should remain faithful to your word. Do not refuse (what you have said) later on. Breaking a promise is not befitting for one of such a noble ancestry. ” Instead of getting angry, the young chief smiled at this and said, “To this day, the thought of not fulfilling a promise or turning back on my word has never even occurred to me. Be assured that I shall stay true to my word under all circumstances. Zaid has gone out to play somewhere. You can ask him when he comes back. ” While these discussions were going on, Zaid came in from outside in a happy mood. As he was about to enter the interior of the house, his Master sa called him, “Zaid! Come here. ” Upon hearing the call, Zaid turned around and was stunned to see his father and uncle in front of him. The Master sa said, “Zaid, do you recognize these two men?” Zaid ra said, “Yes. This is my father. This is my uncle. ” Saying this, the young child ran and hugged his father and the father clasped him to his bosom with great love. The uncle, too, kissed him.
