Footnote Number Eleven — Ninth Objection 155 see how the poets wander into every wilderness in pursuit of rhyme and metre—that is, they do not adhere to any heavenly truth, and they say what they practise not. 1 َو ُمَلْعَيَس َنْيِذَّلا اْۤوُمَلَظ َّيَا ٍبَلَقْنُم َنْوُبِلَقْنَّي And the wrongdoers will soon know of their place of return. 2 َو ِّقَحْلاِب ُهٰنْلَزْنَا َو ِّقَحْلاِب َلَزَن And We sent down the Quran to fulfil the true need and it has come down with the truth. 3 َو ٗهَّنِا ٌبٰتِكَل ٌزْيِزَعاَّل ِهْيِتْاَي ُلِطاَبْلا ْۢنِم ِنْيَب ِهْيَدَي َو اَل ْنِم ٖهِفْلَخ١ؕ ٌلْيِزْنَت ْنِّم ٍمْيِكَح ٍدْيِمَح It is the Book that shall forever remain free from any tinge of false- hood. No kind of falsehood could stand up to it in the past, nor shall it do so in the future. That is, its perfect verities, which are entirely unadulterated by falsehood, will continue to convict and silence all worshippers of falsehood who came before it, or who will come after it and no opposing view will ever be able to stand before it. 4 َو ْنَم اَّل ْبِجُي َيِعاَد ِهّٰللا َسْيَلَف ٍزِجْعُمِب يِف ِضْرَاْلا َو َسْيَل ٗهَل ْنِم ٖۤهِنْوُد ُءٓاَيِلْوَا And whoso refuses to accept it will not be able to stop Allah from manifesting His power to prevail and he shall have no protector besides God. 1.
