Number Three 111 It will be similar to the foundation laid down through Abraham as. That is why God gave me the name ‘Abraham’ in Bar a h i n-e- Ahmadiyya , as He said: َ اِل ِّ قُل ْ رَب ى ّٰ ْم َ مُصَل ي ِ ْنَاہ ُ مِن َ الْغَم ِّ وَاتَّخِذُوْا مِن مَّقَام ِ اِبْرَاھ ي ْم َ صَافَ ي ِ اِبْرَاھ ى َم ٌ عَلٰ ال َسَ ْن ي ْر ُ الْوَارِثِ ي َ ْ فَرْدا ً وَّاَنْت َ خ ى تَذَرْنِ That is, peace be on Ibr a h i m [Abraham] (that is, on this humble one); We forged a sincere friendship with him and delivered him from every grief. You who follow him, make your place of Prayer at Abraham’s station; that is, be completely obedient [to him], so that you may receive sal- vation. Then God said: ‘Say: “O my Lord! Do not leave me alone and You are the Best of inheritors!”’ This reve- lation indicates that God will not leave me alone, and like Abraham, He will give me a large progeny, and many will receive blessings from this progeny. When He said: 1 َو اْوُذِخَّتا ْنِم ِماَقَّم َمٖهٰرْبِا ىًّلَصُم It is a verse of the Holy Quran. Here, it means: Follow this Abraham who has been sent for the ways you worship and for the ways you believe, and mold yourself in his model in everything. 1. S u rah al-Baqarah, 2:126 [Publisher]
