ازواج النبی 198 حضرت woman a share in the harem of the conqueror made up for the loss of father, husband, brethren, and religion۔so Beckwourth found that a few hours were sufficient to reconcile the American squaws to captivity۔Dragged from the blood-baths in which their husbands, fathers, and brothers perished, they in a little time became cheerful and even merry۔Another Jewess, Zainab, the wife of Sallam,son of Mishkam, who figures as a partisan of Mohammed, tried with partial success a plan which others had attempted to fail entirely۔She found out what joint was the Prophet s favourite food, and cooked it for him, richly seasoned with poison۔The Prophet s guest,Bishr, son of Al-Bara, took some and swallowed it ; and presently died in convulsions۔۔۔۔۔۔۔۔۔But when three years after he died of fever, he thought it was Zainab s poison still working within him۔ترجمہ : بعض مسلمانوں نے حضرت صفیہ کی تعریف کرتے ہوئے انہیں ایک مشہور ہیروئن جیوڈتھ کے مخصوص کردار کی عکاس قرار دیا ہے۔جیسا کہ مختلف یہودی قبائل نے ہر دوسرے قبیلہ کے مفاد سے بے پرواہ ہو کر صرف اپنے ہی فائدہ کو مد نظر رکھا۔اس خاتون (صفیہؓ) نے بھی ایک فاتح کے حرم میں بخوشی داخل ہو کر باپ، خاوند ، بھائیوں اور مذہب کو پس پشت ڈالتے ہوئے اپنے پیاروں کے خون کو فراموش کر دیا۔سو بقول Beckwourth جس طرح محض چند گھنٹوں میں (ایک) امریکی خاتون نے حالات (قید) سے سمجھوتہ کر لیا۔اس خون ریز میدان جنگ سے الگ ہوتے ہی ( حضرت صفیہ نے ) جہاں اس کا خاوند ، باپ اور بھائی ہلاک ہوئے تھے۔حرم نبوی میں داخل ہو کر خوش و خرم زندگی شروع کر دی۔جبکہ ایک اور یہودی عورت زینب (زوجہ سلام بن مشکم) نے قومی غیرت میں اپنے منصوبہ پر عمل کر کے کسی حد تک کامیابی حاصل کی جہاں پر کہ دوسرے ایسے منصوبوں میں مکمل طور پر ناکام رہے تھے۔اس نے رسول خدا کا پسندیدہ کھا ناز ہر ڈال کر تیار کیا۔
