5 Prologue When I woke up this morning and proceeded towards the mosque for prayers, I noticed that the sky was overcast, threatening rain. I thereupon examined my inner thoughts; there was no trace of ingratitude in relation to God for bringing this rain upon us at such an inopportune moment. It was the day of the Annual Gathering ( Jalsah ) and it seemed that if it were to rain heavily, the Jalsah proceedings would be completely disturbed. 'All praise belongs to Allah' was the spontaneous response of my heart because I found not a flimsiest trace of ingratitude anywhere in the recesses of my heart. At this very moment I was moved to send Dar u d (salutations) to Prophet Muhammad sa , who is the greatest benefactor of mankind.
