— Part III 268 Or, Who created the heavens and the earth, and Who sent down water for you from the sky wherewith We cause to grow beautiful orchards? You could not cause their trees to grow. Is there a God besides Allah? Nay, they are a people who deviate from the right path. Or, Who made the earth a place to rest, and made rivers to flow amidst it and made upon it firm mountains, and put a barrier between the two waters? Is there a God besides Allah? Nay, most of them know not. (S u rah al-Naml; Ch. 27: Vs. 61-62) Hence Allah’s claim in the Holy Quran, that He alone has granted earth well-proportioned potentials to become a fit habitat for supporting life, could not have been true if there were other gods besides Him. If one ponders over the prerequisites necessary for the earth to be a balanced habitat, one would be astonished to note that they simply could not have been produced by random chances. There are millions of causative factors and reasons which, in unison with each other, create this single desired effect. The scientists are unable to explain why all these factors have gathered to join hands. Even if a small causative factor were to be out of step with the rest, the earth would lose its quality of being a balanced habitat. To achieve this goal, whenever and wherever an exception to the rule was needed, that exception was provided. Some specific examples of the same have been presented before.
