Justice in Speech 353 Chapter Ta -H a of the Holy Quran, when Allah advised Moses as and Aaron as to go to Pharaoh, they were strongly admonished to be gentle in speech despite the fact that the message was very hard. They were to tell him that he had transgressed and rebelled against Allah, yet they were to deliver this message in as mild a tone as possible. This admonishment is contained in the following verses: Go, both of you, to Pharaoh, for he has transgressed all bounds. And address him both of you, with gentle words that he might possibly heed or fear. (S u rah Ta -H a ; Ch. 20: Vs. 44-45) The Second Characteristic of Justice in Speech Then a new aspect of beauty is added to justice in speech. Justice in speech is good but it should be better than that and more beautified. This is mentioned in Chapter Ha -M i m al-Sajdah.
