HADRAT MIRZA GHULAM AHMAD Epilogue: A Poem Lamenting the Fragmented State of Islam بر پریشان حالی اسلام و قحط المسلمین مے سزد گر خوں ببار د دیدہ ہر اہل دیں 'Tis befitting for the eye of every believer to shed tears, Over the distressed condition of Islam and the drought [of leadership] among the Muslims. سخت شورے او افتاد اندر جہاں از کفرو کیں دین حق را گردش آمد صعبناک و سهمگیں Troublesome times have befallen the true Faith, bearing grave tribulation and frightening trials; A tumult abounds throughout the world, stemming from the rejection [of Islam] and malice [towards it]. می تراشد عیب ها در ذات خير المرسلین آنکه نفس اوست از ہر خیر وخوبی بے نصیب Even the one who is devoid of any good or virtue, Dares to find many a fault with the Best of Messengers. آنکه در زندان ناپاکی ست محبوس وا سیر هست در شان امام پاکبازاں نکتہ چیں Even he who is held captive and confined within the prison of impurity criticizes the Chief of the Pure. آسمان را می سزد گر سنگ بارد بر زمیں تیر بر معصوم ے بارد خیثی بد گہر The wicked and evil-natured target their arrows towards that Innocent One; It behoves the heavens to pelt stones upon the earth! 43
