38 A VERDICT REQUIRED with a terrifying fear, it inherently attracts hearts towards itself, and all these conjectures and all these criticisms which prematurely crystalize in minds become so defunct that impartially inclined intellectuals renounce their opinions with a sense of shame. Besides, this humble one is also bound by the laws of nature. If the foundation of this prophecy on my part is only to the extent that I have published this prophecy as baseless babbling, keeping in mind a few hypothetical illnesses and making use of speculative judgement, then the individual about whom this prophecy has been made can also do the same, making a prophecy about me on the basis of those very speculations. If this is from God Almighty- and I am fully aware that it is from God Almighty-then its manifestation will definitely befall accompanied by a terrifying Sign, causing hearts to tremble. And if it is not from Him, my disgrace will be exposed to the pub- lic, and if I resort to making flimsy interpretations at such a time, it would be cause for even greater disgrace! That Eternal Being-Holy and Blessed-who wields all authority in His hand, never bestows honour¹ upon a liar. It is absolutely false that I harbour any personal enmity ☆ 1. ✩ I had stated clearly earlier that since God Almighty does not bestow honour upon a liar, therefore, if I am a liar, this prophecy will certainly not be fulfilled. Furthermore, I had also stated clearly that this proph- ecy is for the purpose of manifesting the honour of the Holy Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him. Thus, the person who says that the prophecy has not been fulfilled, should acknowledge that, here, God Almighty has not shown any regard for the honour of the Holy Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him.
