These people will devise their plans (this points towards the manifestation of the prophecy regard- ing Atham), and Allah, too, will devise His plan [and Allah is the Best of Planners]. 1* And He will give them some respite so that they may revel in their false notions. And then He said: ☆ At that time a mischief 2 would erupt from the Christian 1. In Dafi'ul-Balā' wa Miʻyāru Ahlil-Istifa', the Promised Messiahas says about this: 'The Christian people will make plans to inflict harm, and Allah will also make His plans, and those will be days of tribulations and say: 'O God, grant me a space in a holy land' (See English transla- tion, Defence Against the Plague and a Criterion for the Elect of God, p. 37, published in 2015). First, the great mischief of the Christian priests who decep- tively raised a clamour in the entire world that the prophecy concerning Atham was proven to be false, and they got maulawīs possessing the characteristics of the Jews and those Muslims who follow their ways to join hands with them. The second mischief which is of the second rank is that of Muhammad Husain Batalavi, concerning which it is writ- ten on page 510[−511] of Barāhīn [-e-Ahmadiyya; see also English trans- lation, Barāhīn-e-Ahmadiyya, Part 4, Sub-Footnote Number Three, p. 390]: وَإِذْ يَمْكُرُ بِكَ الَّذِي كَفَرَ . أَوْقِدْ لِي يَا هَامَانُ لَعَلَّى أَطَّلِعُ إِلَى إِلَهِ مُوسَى وَ إِنِّي لَأَظُنُّهُ مِنَ الْكَذِبِينَ. تَبَّتْ يَدَا أَبِي لَهَبٍ وَتَبْ مَا كَانَ لَهُ أَنْ يَدْخُلَ فِيْهَا إِلَّا خَائِفًا . وَمَا أَصَابَكَ فَمِنَ اللَّهِ. الْفِتْنَةُ هُهُنَا فَاصْبِرْ كَمَا صَبَرَ أُولُوا الْعَزْمِ. أَلَا إِنَّهَا فِتْنَةٌ مِّنَ اللَّهِ لِيُحِبَّ حُبًّا جَمَّا . حُبًّا مِّنَ اللَّهِ الْعَزِيزِ الْأَكْرَمِ عَطَاءً غَيْرَ مَجْذُوذٍ.
