AL-QAŞİDAH كَأَنَّا دَفَنَّاهُمْ بِقَبْرٍ مُّقَطَّرِ فَأَعْرَضْنَا عَنْهُمْ وَعَنْ أَرْجَائِهِمْ Hence, we have turned away from them and their environs, As if we had buried them in a very deep grave. نَقَلْنَا وَضِيْتَتَنَا إِلَى بَيْتِ أَقْدَرِ وَوَاللَّهِ إِنَّا لَا تَخَافُ شُرُورَهُمْ By Allah, we are not afraid of their evil designs, For we have entrusted all our affairs to the Most Powerful One. وَقَدْ خَوَّفُوا وَاللَّهُ كَهْفِي وَمَأْزَرِى وَمَا إِنْ أَخَافُ الْخَلْقَ فِي حُكْمِ خَالِقِي I fear no one in the cause of my Creator. If they attempt to frighten me, Allah is sufficient for me and He is my Protector. فَدَعْنِي وَرَبِّي يَا خَصِيْمِي وَمُكْفِرِى وَإِنَّ الْمُهَيْمِنَ يَعْلَمَنْ كُلَّ مُضْمَرِي The Protector knows my innermost secrets; Let my Lord deal with me, O my adversary who accuses me with disbelief. عَدَاوَةُ قَوْمٍ جَرَّدُوا كُلَّ خَنْجَرِ وَلَوْ كُنْتُ مُفْتَرِيَّا كَذُوبًا لَضَرَّنِي If I were a forger and liar, The enmity of those who raised their daggers against me would have surely caused me harm. وَإِنَّ الْمُهَيْمِنْ يَعْلَمَنْ كُلَّ مُضْمَرِى بِوَجْهِ الْمُهَيْمِنِ لَسْتُ رَجُلًا كَافِرًا I swear by the Countenance of the Protector, I am not a disbeliever. The Protector knows all that I conceal and carry. 119
