Hinderer of good, transgressor, doubter, QAF CH. 50 قناع الخَيْرِ مُعْتَدِ مُريبة الَّذِي جَعَلَ مَعَ اللهِ اِلْهَا أَخَرَ فَالْقِيةُ Who sets up another God. 27 beside Allah. Commentary: The dual form in is used either because the command is given to the or شهید and the سائق two angelsthe in order to impart emphasis to the command. This form of expression is also used in 23:100 where a plural 2977 verb is used for the subject in the singular. The plural form in that verse is used to lend emphasis to the disbelievers' desire to be sent back to this world, and represents the repetition of the singular form (irj'inī). 3877. Commentary: It is human nature that when an evildoer is confronted with the evil consequences of his deeds, he seeks to shift his responsibility to others. It is this state of mind of the disbeliever which is depicted in this verse. He will hold the Satan responsible for his own transgressions and sins. See also 2:167-168.
