CH. 49 AL-HUJURĀT PT. 26 بِأَمْوَالِهِمْ وَأَنْفُسِهِمْ فِي سَبِيْلِ اللهِ possessions and their persons in أوليكَ هُمُ الصُّدِقُونَ ) the cause of Allah. It is they who are truthful. 3853 قُلْ اَتُعَلَّمُونَ اللَّهَ بِدِينِكُمْ وَاللهُ يَعْلَمُ Say, "Will you acquaint. 17 Allah with your faith, while مَا فِي السَّمَوتِ وَمَا فِي الْأَرْضِ وَاللهُ Allah knows whatever is in the بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ عَلِيمٌ heavens and whatever is in the earth, and Allah knows all things full well?' يَمُثُونَ عَلَيْكَ أَنْ أَسْلَمُوا قُل لَّا تَمُنُّوا They deem it as a favour to. 18 عَلَى اِسْلَامَكُمْ بَلِ الله يَمُنُّ عَلَيْكُمْ Islam, Say, “Deem not your أَنْ هَدَيكُمْ لِلْإِيمَانِ إِن كُنتُمْ me. On the contrary, Allah has صدِقِينَ thee that they have embraced embracing Islam a favour unto bestowed a favour upon you in that He has guided you to the true Faith, if you are truthful. ' 3854 secrets of the heavens and the اِنَّ اللهَ يَعْلَمُ غَيْبَ السَّمَوتِ Verily, Allah knows the. 19 وَالْأَرْضِ وَاللَّهُ بَصِيرٌ بِمَا تَعْمَلُوْنَ earth. And Allah sees all what you do. Commentary: True and sincere belief to which reference has been made in the preceding verse consists of three important ingredients-strong and firm faith in Allah, absolute freedom from doubt and misgiving as to the truth of Islam and striving with all means within one's power in the cause of God. It is only those sincere and steadfast Muslims who possess 2966 these qualifications who are entitled to be called "the truthful ones" i. e. those who have fulfilled their pledged word to God. 3854. Commentary: True and sincere faith is the most precious possession of a Muslim. By accepting Islam he does no favour to anybody; on the contrary, it is a favour of God that one is guided to the Truth.
