CH. 74 AL-MUDDATHTHIR 36. "Verily, it is one of the greatest calamities. 4447 37. Commentary: The verse purports to say that every soul shall remain in pledge unless it will have paid for the sins it had committed, i. e. unless it will have been cleansed of sins after suffering punishment for them. 3260 4450. Commentary: The particle also means, 'from' (Lane).
