CH. 46 AL-AḤQĀF PT. 26 14. "Verily, those who say, 'OurĘS KE JÓI Lord is Allah,' and then are steadfast no fear shall come upon them, nor shall they grieve. 3769 15. These are the dwellers of the Garden; they shall abide therein- -a recompense for what they did. b فَلا خَوْفٌ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلَا هُمْ يَحْزَنُونَ أو ليك أصْحَبُ الْجَنَّةِ خُلِدِينَ فِيهَا جَزَاءً بِمَا كَانُوا يَعْمَلُونَ وَوَصَّيْنَا الْإِنْسَانَ بِوَالِدَيْهِ اِحْسَنَّا And We have enjoined on. 16 b man to be good to his parents. حَمَلَتْهُ أُمُّهُ كُرْهًا وَوَضَعَتْهُ كُرْهًا His mother bears him with pain and brings him forth with pain, وَحَمْلُهُ وَفِضلُهُ ثَلُثُوْنَ شَهْرًا حَتَّى إِذَا and the bearing of him and his weaning takes thirty months, بَلَغَ أَشُدَّهُ وَبَلَغَ أَرْبَعِينَ سَنَةً قَالَ till, when he attains his full رَبِّ أَوْزِعْنِي أَنْ أَشْكُرَ نِعْمَتَكَ الَّتِى maturity and reaches the age of أَنْعَمْتَ عَلَيَّ وَعَلَى وَالِدَيَّ وَأَنْ أَعْمَلَ forty years, he says, "My Lord, grant me that I may be grateful for Thy favour which Thou hast صَالِحًا تَرْضُهُ وَأَصْلِحْ لِي فِي ذُرِّيَّتِي bestowed upon me and upon my parents, and I may do such إنِّي تُبْتُ اِلَيْكَ وَإِنِّي مِنَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ good works as may please. Thee And establish righteousness among my progeny for me. I do a41:31. 6:152; 19:33; 29:9. 27:20. travelling companies of Dedanim. Commentary: What fear or grief, even under the severest trial, can possibly disturb the equanimity and mental poise of a true believer, who possesses an invincible faith that Allah, the Creator and Lord of the whole universe, is at his back? It is this certain faith that has caused the Faithful in all ages to lay down their lives smilingly in the cause of Truth. Such believers have been called (doers of good) in verse 13 above. They abide in the Garden of heavenly bliss and bask in the sun of God's love. See also 41:31. 2906
