CH. 41 ḤĀ MĪM AS-SAJDAH PT. 25 وَضَلَّ عَنْهُمْ مَّا كَانُوا يَدْعُونَ مِنْ قَبْلُ And all that they used to. 49 call upon before will be lost to them, and they will know for certain that they have no place of escape. 3596 وَظَنُّوا مَا لَهُمْ مِّنْ مَّحِيصٍ ) لَا يَسْتَمُ الْإِنْسَانُ مِنْ دُعَاءِ الْخَيْرِ وَإِنْ Man does not tire of. 50 مَّسَّهُ الشَّرُّ فَيَوسٌ قَنُوط praying for good; but if evil touch him, he despairs, giving up all hope. وَلَبِنْ أَذَقْنُهُ رَحْمَةً مِّنَا مِنْ بَعْدِ ضَرَّاء And if We make him taste. 51 مَشَتُهُ لَيَقُولَنَّ هَذَانِي وَمَا أَظُنُّ ,affliction that has befallen him of mercy from Us after some he will surely say, 'This is my السَّاعَةَ قَابِمَةً وَلَبِنْ رُّجِعْتُ إِلى رَبِّي due; and I do not think the Hour اِنَّ لِي عِنْدَهُ تَلْحُسْنَى فَلَنُنَبِيَّنَ الَّذِينَ will ever come. But if I am ۚ returned to my Lord, I will كَفَرُوا بِمَا عَمِلُوا وَلَنُذِيقَنَّهُمْ مِنْ surely have with Him the very عَذَابِ غَلِيظ best. Important Words: means, he turned away from the thing and became safe from it. means, a place from which one turns away or aside; to which one flees; a place of refuge. means, there is no refuge from it (Lane & Aqrab). 3597. Commentary: It is human nature that when man is in trouble he is despondent and despairing, but if he is in affluent circumstances, he is the very (place of escape) is derived embodiment of conceit and from.
