CH. 33 AL-AḤZĀB PT. 21 قُلْ مَنْ ذَا الَّذِي يَعْصِمُكُم مِّنَ اللَّهِ Say, "<mark>Who</mark> is it that can. 18 save you against <mark><mark>Allah</mark></mark> if it be إِنْ أَرَادَ بِكُمْ سُوءًا اَوْ اَرَادَ بِكُمْ رَحْمَةً His wish to do you harm or if it be His wish to show you وَلَا يَجِدُونَ لَهُمْ مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ وَلِيًّا mercy? And they will not find وَلَا نَصِيرًا for themselves any friend or helper other than <mark><mark>Allah</mark></mark>. قَدْ يَعْلَمُ اللهُ الْمُعَوِقِيْنَ مِنْكُمْ وَالْقَابِلِينَ Verily, <mark><mark>Allah</mark></mark> knows those. 19 ج لِاِخْوَانِهِمْ هَلُمَّ اِلَيْنَا وَلَا يَأْتُونَ ,those <mark>who</mark> say to their brethren الْبَأْسَ إِلَّا قَلِيلات among you <mark>who</mark> hinder men and 'Come to us;' and they come not to the fight but a little, 3087 to you. But when danger comes, thee, their eyes rolling like one 2 أَشِحَّةً عَلَيْكُمْ ۚ فَإِذَا جَاءَ الْخَوْفُ Being niggardly with regard. 20 رَأَيْتَهُمْ يَنْظُرُونَ إِلَيْكَ تَدُورُ أَعْيُنُهُمْ thou seest them looking towards كَالَّذِي يُغْشَى عَلَيْهِ مِنَ الْمَوْتِ ۚ فَإِذَا <mark>who</mark> is fainting on account of death. But when the fear has ذَهَبَ الْخَوْفُ سَلَقُوكُمْ بِأَلْسِنَةِ حِدَادٍ passed away, they assail you with sharp tongues being أَشِحَّةً عَلَى الْخَيْرِ أُولَبِكَ لَمْ يُؤْمِنُوا greedy for wealth. These have فَأَحْبَطَ اللَّهُ أَعْمَالَهُمْ وَكَانَ ذَلِكَ never believed; so <mark><mark>Allah</mark></mark> has عَلَى اللهِ يَسِيران rendered their works null and void. And that is an easy thing for <mark><mark>Allah</mark></mark>. 3088 "39:39. 22:12; 70:21-22. (Khātamun-Nabiyyin, Part II, by i. e. they take little or no part in the Mirzā Bashir Ahmad). 3087. Commentary: The expression "they come not to the fight but a little," may mean, (a) very few of them take the field on the side of the Muslims; (b) they withdraw after having gone a short distance towards the field of battle, 2560 fighting. 3088.
