CH. 32 AS-SAJDAH PT. 21 فِي مِرْيَةٍ مِنْ لِقَابِهِ وَجَعَلْنَهُ هُدًى as to meeting with Him and لبَنِي إِسْرَاءِيلَ We made it a guidance for the children of Israel. 3071 وَجَعَلْنَا مِنْهُمْ أَبِمَّةً يَهْدُونَ بِأَمْرِنَا لَمَّا And We made from among. 25 them leaders, who guided the people by Our command, whilst they were steadfast and had صَبَرُوا وَكَانُوا بِايْتِنَا يُوقِنُونَ اِنَّ رَبَّكَ هُوَ يَفْصِلُ بَيْنَهُمْ يَوْمَ الْقِيمَةِ Verily, thy Lord He will. 26 فِيمَا كَانُوا فِيهِ يَخْتَلِفُونَ firm faith in Our Signs. judge between them on the Day of Resurrection concerning that in which they disagree. 30' 3072 أَوَلَمْ يَهْدِ لَهُمْ كَمْ أَهْلَكْنَا مِنْ قَبْلِهِمْ Does it not guide them how. 27 مِّنَ الْقُرُونِ يَمْشُونَ فِي مَسْكِنِهِمْ إِنَّ destroyed before them, amid في ذُلِكَ لَايْتِ أَفَلَا يَسْمَعُوْنَ many a generation We have whose dwellings they now walk about? In that surely are Signs. Will they not then hearken? أَوَلَمْ يَرَوْا أَنَّا نَسُوقُ الْمَاءَ إِلَى الْأَرْضِ Have they not seen that We. 28 الْجُرُزِ فَنُخْرِجُ بِهِ زَرْعًا تَأْكُلُ مِنْهُ and produce thereby crops of اَنْعَامُهُمْ وَأَنْفُسُهُمْ أَفَلَا يُبْصِرُونَ themselves also? Commentary: The pronouns in the expression may be taken as referring to God or to the Book. In the second case the meaning would be, "be not therefore in doubt about receiving a perfect Book thyself. " 3072. Commentary: The reference in "the Day of Resurrection" is very probably to the Battle of Badr, which has also been called the Day of Discrimination or Decision at another place in the Quran (8:42).
