PT. 19 ASH-SHU'ARĀ' CH. 26 اَتُتْرَكُونَ فِي مَا هُهُنَا أَمِنِيْنَ في جَاتٍ وَعُيُونٍ وزُرُوعٍ وَنَخْلِ طَلْعُهَا هَضِيمُ ® 147. Do you think you will be left secure amid the things that you have here, 2779 148. Amid gardens and springs, 149. And cornfields, and date- palms with heavy spathes near breaking?2780 وَتَنْحِتُونَ مِنَ الْجِبَالِ بُيُوتًا فَرِهِينَ And you hew out houses. 150 فَاتَّقُوا اللهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ وَلَا تُطِيعُوا أَمْرَ الْمُسْرِفِيْنَ الَّذِينَ يُفْسِدُونَ فِي الْأَرْضِ وَلَا يُصْلِحُونَ in the mountains with great skill. 2781 151. So fear Allah, and obey me. 152. And obey not the bidding who exceed the of those bounds, 153. "Who create disorder in the earth, and reform it not. ' 7:75; 15:83. 27:49. 2779. Commentary: Prophet Ṣāliḥ, like Prophet Hūd, warns his people that their material power and prosperity without good ideals and moral strength which are the real source of the strength of a people would not save them from ruin and destruction and that if they rejected the Divine Message they would not be allowed to enjoy the fruits of their labour in peace. 2780. Important Words: with heavy spathes near) هضيم breaking) is derived from. They sayi. e. he broke the thing. means, he treated him unjustly الثمر and usurped his rights 2369 means, the fruit became broken or crushed. means, so heavy as to be about to break on account of its weight (Lane & Aqrab). 2781. Important Words: (with great skill) is derived from (faruha) and ³ (fariha). The former verb means, he was or became skilled or skilful; he was or became brisk, lively or active; he was or became beautiful. The latter i. e. (fariha) means, he exulted or rejoiced above measure, or he exulted greatly and behaved insolently and ungratefully, the letter in this verb being substituted for the letter て (Lane & Aqrab).
