PT. 16 disbelievers. 2139 AL-KAHF CH. 18 قُلْ هَلْ تُنَبِّئُكُمْ بِالْأَخْسَرِينَ أَعْمَالاً Say, “Shall We tell you of. 104 الَّذِينَ ضَلَّ سَعْيُهُمْ فِي الْحَيَوةِ الدُّنْيَا وَهُمْ يَحْسَبُونَ أَنَّهُمْ يُحْسِنُونَ صنعان those who are the greatest losers in respect of their works?— 105. "Those whose labour is all lost in search after things pertaining to the life of this world, and they think that they are doing good works. '2140 106. Those are they disbelieve in the Signs of their Lord and in the meeting with Him. So their works are vain, and on the Day of Resurrection We shall give them weight. 2141 no أُولَبِكَ الَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوا بِايْتِ رَبِّهِمْ who وَلِقَابِهِ فَحَبِطَتْ أَعْمَالُهُمْ فَلَا نُقِيمُ لَهُمْ يَوْمَ الْقِيمَةِ وَزْنا • ذلِكَ جَزَاؤُهُمْ جَهَنَّمُ بِمَا كَفَرُوا ;That is their reward Hell. 107 وَاتَّخَذُوا أيتِى وَرُسُلِى هُزُوًا because they disbelieved, and made a jest of My Signs and My Messengers. 2142 2139. Commentary: "11:22. 2:218; 3:23; 7:148; 9:69. The verse speaks of those people who look upon Jesus as their saviour and as the Son of God and to whom reference has already been made in the beginning of this chapter. This shows that the foregoing verses also deal with the same people-Christian nations of the west. 2140. Commentary: inventions and discoveries to add to those comforts as the sole aim and object of their life. They have no place for God in their hearts. 2141. Commentary: As all their labour is for this life and they have completely disregarded the life to come, so no sign or trace of their works will be left in this world and on the Last Day also their deeds will prove quite futile. 2142.
