PT. 15 BANI ISRĀ'ĪL CH. 17 رَبُّكُمْ أَعْلَمُ بِمَا فِي نُفُوسِكُمْ إِن Your Lord knows best what. 26 is in your minds: if you are تَكُونُوا صِلِحِيْنَ فَإِنَّهُ كَانَ لِلْاَوَّابِينَ righteous, then surely He is Most غَفُورًا وَاتِ ذَا الْقُرْبَى حَقَّهُ وَالْمِسْكِينَ to the Forgiving to those who turn to Him again and again. 1955 27. "And give thou kinsman his due, and to the poor and the wayfarer, and squander not thy wealth extravagantly. 1956 "16:91; 30:39. وَابْنَ السَّبِيْلِ وَلَا تُبَذِّرْ تَبْذِيرًا (dhull) is synonymous with 3 (dhill) and lapse, if any. It is to this a and means, lowness; paltriness, abasement, and weakness; easiness, tractableness; submissiveness; also gentleness; and mercy. According to Imām Rāghib 3 (dhull) is consequence of subjection and (dhill) is what is after refractoriness (Lane, Aqrab & Mufradāt). Commentary: The verse uses a beautiful simile to teach the Faithful to be always kind to their parents. It purports to say that as ordinarily a person can never fully repay the love and affection his parents gave him when he was yet a child, he should make up the deficiency by praying for them. The words of the prayer imply that in old age parents need to be tended as carefully and affectionately as little children are looked after in their childhood. 1955. Commentary: This verse shows that if a person serves his parents sincerely and wholeheartedly, then God, out of His Mercy, makes up for his remissness 1771 commandment about being kind to one's parents in their old age that the Holy Prophet referred when he said, "Unfortunate is that person who got an opportunity to serve one of his parents and failed to earn God's forgiveness" (Kathir, vol. 6, p. 61). 1956. Important Words: (squander) is derived from (badhdhara) which is the intensified form of (badhara) which means, he sowed seed; he scattered seed upon the ground; he scattered or dispersed or he scattered or dispersed much; he divulged what was secret; he talked much. They say i. e. He (God) scattered or dispersed mankind in the earth. means, the land put forth its herbage in a scattered state. means, he disseminated and diffused knowledge. (badhdhara) means, he dissipated or squandered wealth by extravagant expenditure and destroyed and wasted it; he expended his wealth so largely as not to leave of it whereby he might subsist, or he expended it بنه المال بذر العلم
