PT. 8 وَقَاسَمَها إِنِّي لَكُمَا لَمِنَ النُّصِحِينَ ,to them ) CH. 7 22. And he swore AL-A'RĀF saying, ‘Surely, I am a sincere counsellor unto you. ' فَدَلْهُمَا بِغُرُورٍ ۚ فَلَمَّا ذَاقَا الشَّجَرَةَ So he caused them to fall. 23 into disobedience by deceit. بَدَتْ لَهُمَا سَواتُهُمَا وَطَفِقَا يَخْصِفُن And when they tasted of the tree, their shame became عَلَيْهِمَا مِنْ وَرَقِ الْجَنَّةِ وَنَادُهُمَا رَبُّهُمَا manifest to them and they أَلَمْ أَنْهَكُمَا عَنْ تِلْكُمَا الشَّجَرَةِ وَأَقُل began to stick the leaves of the تَكُمَا إِنَّ الشَّيْطَنَ لَكُمَا عَدُوٌّ مُّبِينٌ over garden together themselves. They say i. e. the tree put forth its leaves. means, the man became rich; his wealth and money increased. therefore, means, دورق leaves, foliage, parchment; sheet of paper; thin plate of metal; minted silver coins; the prime and freshness of a thing; the young lads of a community; any animal having life (Aqrab, Lane & Lisān).
