PT. 7 AL-MA'IDAH CH. 5 اِذْ قَالَ اللهُ يُعِيسَى ابْنَ مَرْيَمَ اذْكُرُ When Allah will say, “O. 111 نِعْمَتِي عَلَيْكَ وَعَلَى وَالِدَتِكَ إِذْ أَيَّدْتُكَ Jesus, son of Mary, remember قف بِرُوحِ الْقُدُسِ تُكَلِّمُ النَّاسَ فِي My favour upon thee and upon when Ι strengthened thee with the thy mother; الْمَهْدِ وَكَهْلًا وَإِذْ عَلَّمْتُكَ الْكِتب Spirit of Holiness so that thou وَالْحِكْمَةَ وَالتَّوْرَيةَ وَالْإِنْجِيلَ ۚ وَاِذْ didst speak to the people in the cradle and when of middle age; تَخْلُقُ مِنَ الدِّينِ كَهَيْئَةِ الطَّيْرِ باذني and when I taught thee the Book and Wisdom and the فَتَنْفُخُ فِيهَا فَتَكُونُ طَيْرًا بِإِذْنِي وَتُبْرِئُ Torah and the Gospel; and when الْأَكْمَهَ وَالْاَبْرَصَ بِإِذْنِي وَإِذْ تُخْرِجُ d thou didst fashion out a creation out of clay, in the الْمَوْتُى بِإِذْنِى وَإِذْ كَفَفْتُ بَنِي likeness of a bird, by My إسْرَاعِيْلَ عَنْكَ إِذْ جِئْتَهُمْ بِالْبَيِّنَتِ command; then thou didst breathe into it a new spirit and فَقَالَ الَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوْا مِنْهُمْ إِنْ هَذَا إِلَّا it became a soaring being by My command; and thou didst heal the night-blind and the leprous by My command; and when thou didst raise the dead by My command; and when I restrained the children of Israel from putting thee to death when thou didst come to them with clear Signs; and those who disbelieved from among them said, 'This is nothing but clear deception. Commentary: In the clause, thou didst speak to the people in the cradle and when of middle age, the act of speaking in the 827 سِحْرٌ مُّبِينٌ. cradle signifies speaking words of wisdom and piety in childhood. This sort of speaking on the part of Jesus reflected great credit on his mother,
