CH. 2 R. 33. AL-BAQARAH PT. 2 فَلَمَّا فَصَلَ طَالُوتُ بِالْجُنُودِ قَالَ اِنَّ And when Talut set out. 250 ره ج اللهَ مُبْتَلِيكُمْ بِنَهَرٍ فَمَنْ شَرِبَ مِنْهُ. Allah will try you with a river with the forces, he said: 'Surely, So he who drinks therefrom is فَلَيْسَ مِنِّي وَمَنْ لَّمْ يَطْعَمُهُ فَإِنَّهُ مِنْيَ not of me; and he who tastes it إِلَّا مَنِ اغْتَرَفَ غُرْفَةً بِيَدِهِ فَشَرِبُوا not is assuredly of me, except b E him who takes a handful of مِنْهُ إِلَّا قَلِيلًا مِّنْهُمْ فَلَمَّا جَاوَزَهُ هُوَ water with his hand. But they drank of it, except a few of وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُوا مَعَهُ قَالُوا لَا طَاقَةَ them. And when they crossed it he and those who believed لَنَا الْيَوْمَ بِجَالُوتَ وَ جُنُودِهِ قَالَ along with him they said: We الَّذِينَ يَظُنُّونَ أَنَّهُمْ مُّلْقُوا اللَّهِ كَمْ مِنْ have no power today against Jālūt and his forces. ' But those فِئَةٍ قَلِيْلَةِ غَلَبَتْ فِئَةً كَثِيرَةٌ بِإِذْنِ who knew for certain that they اللهِ وَاللهُ مَعَ الصُّبِرِينَ would one day meet Allah said: "How many a small party has triumphed over a large party by Allah's command! Important Words: means, the water poured forth in the land and cut out a channel for itself. (an-nahr) means, a body of flowing water, i. e. stream or river; channel through which such water flows. (an-nahr) means, (1) plenty and abundance; (2) a river channel; (3) a river (Aqrab). الجند forces) is the plural of) الجنود They sayi. e. he collected or gathered together his forces. means, it means, a force or an army; helpers (Aqrab). (river). The verb flowed with force. They say i. e. the blood poured forth with force. 394. i. e جال Jalat) is derived from) جالوت
