CH. 2 AL-BAQARAH PT. 1 الَّذِي جَعَلَ لَكُمُ الْاَرْضَ فِرَاشًا وَ السَّمَاء Who made the earth a bed. 23 for you, and the heaven a roof, بنَا وَأَنْزَلَ مِنَ السَّمَاءِ مَاءً فَأَخْرَجَ بِهِ and caused water to come down مِنَ الثَّمَرَاتِ رِزْقًا لَّكُمْ ۚ فَلَا تَجْعَلُ والله from the clouds and therewith انْدَادًا وَّ انْتُمْ تَعْلَمُونَ brought forth fruits for your sustenance. This is the great and first commandment" (Matt. 22:36, 37). But this commandment Jesus calls the which great commandment in the Law is not presented in the beginning of the New Testament. It comes much later and then only when people asked Jesus about it, although as regards the first place.
