13 I have sinned! What do I do? First, sin should not be something that leads us to despair, for despair and guilt has the danger to lead to more sin, which in turn leads to more guilt, and it becomes a vicious cycle. Despair is Satan’s trick to make us fall back into sin. The Quran says: ﻗ ُ ﻞ ۡ ﯾ ٰ ﻌ ِ ﺒ َ ﺎ د ِ ى َ ا 6 7 ِ ﻳ ۡ ﻦ َ ا َ رس ۡ َ ﻓ ُ ﻮ ۡ ا ﻋ َ ىل ٰ ٓ ا َ ﻧ ۡ ﻔ ُ ﺴ ِ ﻬ ِ ﻢ ۡ ﻻ َ ﺗ َ ﻘ ۡ ﻨ َ ﻄ ُ ﻮ ۡ ا ﻣ ِ ﻦ ۡ ر 7 مح ۡ َ ﺔ ِ ا Q ّ ٰ ِ ؕ ا ِ ن 7 ا Q ّ ٰ َ ﯾ َ ﻐ ۡ ﻔ ِ ﺮ ُ ا 6 K ﻧ ُ ﻮ ۡ ب َ مج َ ِ ﯿ ۡ ﻌ ً ﺎ ؕ ا ِ ﻧ 7 ﻪ ٗ ﻫ ُ ﻮ َ ا ﻟ ۡ ﻐ َ ﻔ ُ ﻮ ۡ ر ُ ا ﻟ ﺮ 7 ﺣ ِ مي ۡ ُ ﴿ ٥٤ ﴾ “Say, ‘O My servants who have committed excesses against their own souls!
