rta abbreviation stands for Rahimahullahu Ta'aala (may Allah have mercy on him). The abbreviation at stands for Ayyadahullahu Ta'aala (may Allah, the Exalted help him). Because of their frequency of use and for ease of reading, Islamic terms such as hadith or ummah have, for the most part, not been italicised or transliterated in the main body of the text.
