62 Ā'ĪNA-E-KAMĀLĀT-E-ISLĀM―DĀFI‘UL-WASĀWIS and exceptional among all humanity in his nature and the inher- ent essentials of life, and possesses some such quality over and above all others in which no one else has any share, then we shall be plac- ing a huge mound of shirk in Islam's way by holding such an unjusti- fied belief. The clear teaching of the Noble Quran is that Lord God, who is Unique and Praiseworthy, demands Oneness by virtue of His very nature. He has imposed shared qualities upon His creation and has ordained some to be the likeness and resemblance of others, so that any quality that a person possesses in his being, actions, words, or attributes may not result in the deception that the person concerned is invested with a quality that is not shared with anyone else, so that, like God Almighty, he might be considered to be one without a partner in of his attributes. Sūrah al-Ikhlās in the Noble Quran affirms this very distinction—that Uniqueness in being and attributes are the sole possession of God Almighty. any Behold! Allah, His eminence be glorified, commands: قُلْ هُوَ اللهُ احده Since the fact of the matter is that the primary indicator of having been created is that there is commonality and resemblance of some with oth- ers, and no individual possesses any personal quality or trait that is not shared by any other individual-neither by way of reflection nor in his own right. Under these circumstances, if we suppose that an individual human being is entirely distinct from others and transcends the req- uisites of humanity in his various attributes or works and, like God Almighty, is unique in this act or attribute, then we would be admit- ting a partner, so to speak, in God Almighty's attribute of Oneness. This is a very deep point of wisdom. Thoroughly reflect upon it. God Almighty has articulated the death of the Messiah several times in His Book to the extent that his mother, Maryam Şiddiqah 1.
