52 Ā'ĪNA-E-KAMĀLĀT-E-ISLĀM―DĀFI‘UL-WASĀWIS come to pass so that all those things that the Noble Messenger as had foretold in the very beginning about this likeness might be fulfilled. Granted, the ulema eventually recognize the honoured ones of God, showing them great reverence to the point that they even joined their communities; but they did so only at the time when they had passed away from this transitory world and their acceptance [by God] had been made manifest to millions. [i. e. How well has someone described this situation]: جب مر گئے تو آئے ہمارے مزار پر ✓ پتھر پڑیں صنم تیرے ایسے پیار پر Only after my death did you come to my grave— Cursed be this love of yours, O my lover! may teach As for me, the Benevolent God is well aware of my condition. He has bestowed His blessings upon me perfectly and has sent me endowed with a burning passion to obey the Holy Prophet sas so that I people the ways of true obedience and deliver them out of this theoret- ical and practical darkness, which is engulfing them on account of their carelessness. I do not claim that my soul possesses an excessive wealth of acquired knowledge. On the contrary, I am the first of all and greater than all in confessing my utter ignorance and unworthiness. At the same time, however, I cannot keep it a hidden secret that the Benevolent Lord Himself admitted a humble, unimportant, and unlettered per- son like me into His tutelage and made me aware of the perfect ver- ities and sublime insights that I could have never fathomed even if I were to have remained ever occupied in deliberating and pondering more than all others, and had also been granted a long life. I am also thankful to the Benevolent Lord because He has granted me so much faith-inspired zeal for the propagation of Islam that even if I am called
