PREFACE By the means provided by God Almighty, my humble self had recently published three treatises in support of Islam-the title of the first is Fatḥ-e-Islām [Victory of Islam], the title of the second is Tauḍīḥ-e- Marām [Elucidation of Objectives], and the title of the third is Izāla- e-Auhām [The Removal of Misconceptions]. In conformity with the indications, revelation, and inspirations granted by God, these trea- tises also mentioned the dignity of being the likeness of the Messiah, which has been conferred upon my humble self. Similarly, there was an explanation of the subtleties, verities, and profound spiritual insights which constitute the sublime truths of Islam and the Noble Quran, and serve as a source of honour for the Muslims in confrontations with the enemies. Furthermore, the beauty and purity of the unsurpassable supremacy of Islamic Tauḥid [Oneness of God] were revealed through these verities. Likewise, all those spiritual insights were abundant and satisfying replies to the extraneous charges that the people of the cur- rent day and age heap upon the teachings of Islam entirely out of their bigotry and blurred vision. All of this had been taken from the Noble Quran and the authentic aḥādīth; and testimonies to these truths were borne by the pious sages of the past. It was hoped that the wise would look upon these books with a sense of gratitude and would fall upon the threshold of God Almighty in prostrations of thankfulness for conferring these spiritual favours at the precise moment of need.
