SUPPLEMENT OF THE NEWSPAPER RIYAD HIND AMRITSAR 673 collateral relatives, some friends, some brethren of philosophic dispo- sition who are the stars of India, and a rich person of Punjabi origin, which portend some trial, death of a relative, or death of the person concerned. All of these will, God willing, be written after complete satisfaction. I pray for everyone of them because I realize that if there is a sus- pended decree, it can be averted through prayers. That is the reason that, in times of tribulations, people turn to those who are the accepted ones of God for prayer and refrain from immodesty and waywardness. Nevertheless, if anyone is offended by such a prophecy, he has the right before I March 1886, or within two weeks from the date that this announcement is published in any newspaper, to let me know through a signed statement so that the prophecy, the publication of which they are fearful, may be excluded from the treatise, and no one should be informed of it to avoid hurting the feelings of someone, nor should anyone be informed of its actual fulfillment. Of these three types of prophecies that will—God willing—be included in the treatise with their full details, the first prophecy is about my humble self. Today, 20 February 1886, corresponding to the 1sth of Jamadi-ul-Awwal, this prophecy is written as an example here- under in some brevity by way of summary of the revealed wordings and will-God willing-be set out in detail in the treatise. First Prophecy through revelation from Allah the Exalted, and proclamation of the Lord of Honour and Glory: God, the Merciful and Noble, the Venerable and Pre-Eminent, who has power to do all that He wills (glory be to Him and exalted be His name) addressed me in a revelation and said: میں تجھے ایک رحمت کا نشان دیتا ہوں اسی کے موافق جو تو نے مجھ سے مانگا. سو میں نے تیری تفرعات کو سنا اور تیری دعاؤں کو اپنی رحمت سے بپایہ قبولیت جگہ دی اور تیرے سفر کو (جو ہوشیار پور اور لدھیانہ کا سفر ہے) تیرے لئے مبارک کر دیا سو قدرت اور رحمت اور قربت کا نشان تجھے دیا جاتا ہے. فضل اور احسان کا نشان تجھے عطا ہوتا ہے اور فتح اور ظفر کی کلید تجھے ملتی ہے. اے مظفر تجھ پر سلام. خدا نے یہ کہا. تا وہ جو زندگی کے خواہاں
