AN IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT [Regarding Printing Press] Respectfully submitted to all sincere devotees and well-wishers of Islam. After the customary salutations of peace, be it known that at the time of the Jalsa Salana that took place in Qadian on December 27, 28 and 29, it was decided on the basis of the advice from some sin- cere friends that since there have been persistent complaints about the printing press it is necessary to make permanent arrangements about it. In addition to the books in support of Islam, a semi-monthly paper should also be published, which should include commentary on some verses of the Holy Quran, as well as responses to the critiques of the opponents of Islam. The friends who were present endorsed this idea with great sincerity and an estimate was made as desired by the attend- ees. The expenses are estimated to be about [Rs. 250] per month. All sincere friends made pledges according to their capacities, and a list thereof is attached herewith. Many friends had left before this plan was adopted and they could not participate in this noble scheme. It is hoped that all truthful devotees and selfless friends will participate in this scheme to earn the blessings of both worlds and will intimate their pledges for this scheme. However, it has been directed by His Holiness that no one should feel constrained to contribute; rather, they should offer as they please according to what they can afford.
