IN PRAISE & GLORY OF OUR BLESSED MASTER 39 کامران آن دل که زد در راه او از صدق گام نیک بخت آن سر که میدار د سر آن شه سوار Successful is the heart that treads faithfully in his path; Lucky is the head that is sacrificed for that valiant champion. وقت آن آمد که بنمائی رخ خورشید وار یانبی اللہ جہاں تاریک شد از شرک و کفر O Prophet of Allah! The world is dark with polytheism and disbelief; It is time for you to reveal your face, which is radiant like the sun. مست عشق روئے تو بینم دل ہر ہوشیار بینم انوار خدا در روئے تو اے دلبرم O my beloved! I see the light of God reflected in your countenance; I see the heart of every wise person intoxicated with your love. از دو چشم شیران پنهان خور نصف النہار اہل دل فهمند قدرت عارفان دانند حال Lovers recognize your status and the enlightened know your unsurpass- able rank, But the eyes of bats cannot behold the bright, midday sun. من فدائے روئے تو اے دلستان گلعذار ہر کسے دارد سرے بادلبرے اندر جہان Everyone in this world has a beloved, but— O beloved of rosy countenance!—I am devoted to you alone. بروجود خویشتن کردم وجودت اختیار از همه عالم دل اندر روئے خوبت بسته ام Out of the entire world, I have fallen in love with your lovely face; I have forsaken my own self for you, and adopted yours. رستگاری چیست در بند تو بودن صیدوار زندگانی چیست جان کردن براه تو فدا What is life? It is to be sacrificed in your path. What is freedom? It is to be like prey in your captivity.
