What sin did brother Hakeem Noor-ud-Deen commit by constructing a house solely for the sake of Allah for the members of this Jama'at? What kind of sincerity is it to go on criticizing an individual who is serving the cause of the Faith with all his ability and hard-earned money? Gentlemen! You will find out after your death. Just wait a little, for the time is coming that you will be questioned about all of these verbal abuses. You constantly recite the hadith that ‘He who dies without rec- ognizing the Imam of his time, dies a death of ignorance, ¹ but you have no regard for the fact that someone was raised exactly at the appointed time—namely, the head of the fourteenth century—and not only the fourteenth century, but he also appeared during the very time of mis- guidance and the dominance of Christianity and philosophy. He pro- claimed to be the Imam of the Age, but you denied him and labelled him a kāfir and dajjal, without the slightest fear for your evil end, pre- ferring to die in ignorance. Allah the Exalted had instructed you to recite the following prayer in your five daily Prayers: اهْدِنَا الصِّرَاطَ الْمُسْتَقِيمَ صِرَاطَ الَّذِينَ أَنْعَمْتَ عَلَيْهِمْ 2 Meaning that: O our God! Inform us of the path of those of Your servants who have earned Your blessings. Who are they? The Prophets, the Truthful, the Martyrs, and the Righteous. The essential meaning of this prayer was verily that whichever of these four groups whose season you chance upon, come under the shelter of their company and attain grace from them. But the present-day maulawis have done a splendid job acting upon this verse—Bravo! Bravo!—who can I com- pare them with? They are akin to a blind man who openly boasts and 1.
