36 A'INA-E-KAMALAT-E-ISLAM-DAFI UL-WASĀWIS آن یکی جو مد حدیث پاک تو از زید و عمر و و آن دگر خود از دهانت بشنود بے انتظار There is one who yearns to hear your sacred sayings, from Zaid and Umar; There is another who hears directly from your own lips without waiting. زنده آن شخصی که نوشد جرعه از چشمه ات زیرک آن مردیکه کرداست اتباعت اختیار He indeed is alive who drinks from your fountain; Wise is he who adopts your obedience. صادقان را منتہائے صدق بر عشقت قرار عارفان را منتہائے معرفت علم رخت The ultimate point of knowledge, for those who know, is the knowledge of your countenance; For the truthful, steadfastness and loyalty to you is the height of truth. بے تو ہر گز دولت عرفان نمی یابد کسے گرچہ میرد در ریاضت ہائے و جہد بے شمار Without you, no one can ever acquire the wealth of true knowledge, Even if one dies in the exertion of unlimited devotion and worship. غافل از رویت نه بیند روئے نیکی زینهار تکیه بر اعمال خود بے عشق رویت انہی است To rely on one's own efforts without the love of your countenance is naivety; For he who is unaware of your face can never see the face of virtue. کان نباشد سالکان را حاصل اندر روزگار درد مے حاصل شود نورے ز عشق روئے تو Through the love of your countenance, a light is attained in a single instant, Which the seeker cannot attain otherwise in an entire lifetime. شان آن هر چیز بینم در وجودت آشکار از عجائب ہائے عالم ہر چہ محبوب و خوش است In the wonders of the universe—all that is beautiful and sublime— I clearly behold the grandeur of them all in your person.
