REPLY TO SHAIKH MUHAMMAD HUSAIN BATALAWI'S PAPER Which he had written on 9 January 1893 & published in his magazine-number 1, volume 15 خدا چون ༩ بندد دو چشم کسی نه بیند وگر تابد بسی When God closes both eyes of someone, Nothing can be seen even if the sun shines brightly. Shaikh Batālawi has once again levelled the same accusation against my humble self on page 22 of this paper that none of my writings is free from falsehood. The truth is that when someone is blinded by the veils of arrogance and envy, all he can see is darkness. But keep in mind that these allegations are nothing new. They are the very allega- tions that the malicious have heaped upon all the righteous servants of God Almighty who appeared in the world—that they are false, they are kadhdhāb [great liars], they are fabricators, they are licentious, and they are usurpers of people's wealth. Nevertheless, when the people could not decide between these two groups, then He whose sight pen- etrates into the deepest depths of the heart would ultimately manifest His heavenly verdict like a bright sunny day to expose who the kadh- dhab is and who the truthful is. Hence, at this time I feel no obligation to repeatedly adduce the evidence of my truth. I know full well that He in whom I place my trust and who knows my inner conditions better than everybody will judge the matter Himself. It should be noted what [insulting] variety of his names our Lord and Master, the Prophet, may peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, was forced to hear over so lengthy a period from the wicked dis- believers, and how many false accusations, slanders and such were flung
