AL-QAŞIDAH-AN ODE IN PRAISE OF THE HOLY PROPHET $as 581 حُسْنُهُ وَجَمَالُهُ يَا لَلْفَتَى مَا رَيَّاهُ يُصْبِي الْقَلْبَ كَالرَّيْحَانِ What a noble man! How wonderful his beauty and grace! His fragrance captivates the heart like sweet basil. وَجْهُ الْمُهَيْمِنِ ظَاهِرُ فِي وَجْهِهِ وَشُدُّونُهُ لَمَعَتْ بِهَذَا الشَّانِ The countenance of God the Protector is visible in his face, And the attributes of the Divine have shone through his noble station. فَلِذَا يُحَبُّ وَيَسْتَحِقُّ جَمَالُهُ بِهِ مِنْ زُمْرَةِ الْأَخْدَانِ شَغَفَّا That is why he is beloved. Indeed, his beautiful virtues demand Passionate love for him spring forth from the circle of beloved companions. شجع كَرِيمٌ بَاذِلٌ خِلُّ التَّقَى خِرْقُ وَفَاقَ طَوَائِفَ الْفِتْيَانِ He is gentle, noble, open-handed, a companion of the righteous, Generous, and one who has excelled all the youth. فَاقَ الْوَرى بِكَمَالِهِ وَجَمَالِهِ وَجَلَالِهِ وَجَنَانِهِ الرَّيَّانِ In excellence and beauty, he surpasses all creation, And in glory and cheerfulness of heart. لَا شَكٍّ أَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا خَيْرُ الْوَرى ريقُ الْكِرَامِ وَنُخْبَةُ الْأَعْيَانِ Without any doubt, Muhammad is the Best of all Creation— A man of extreme generosity, the soul and strength of the nobles, the elect among the elite. تَمَّتْ عَلَيْهِ صِفَاتُ كُلِّ مَزِيَّةٍ خُتِمَتْ به نَعْمَاءُ كُلِّ زَمَانِ All noble virtues attained perfection in his person, The blessings of all times reached their apex in him.
