The Mirror of the Excellences of Islam — Page 565
564 Ā'ĪNA-E-KAMĀLĀT-E-ISLĀM―DĀFI‘UL-WASĀWIS are the helpers of the Faith. His name, like his excellent qualities, is Noor-ud-Deen [the Light of the Faith] from Bhera. His lineage traces back to the Quraish and further to the family of 'Umar Fārūq™. He is one of the great scholars of Islam and from the spiritual progeny of pious and righteous people. After meeting with him I regained the con- tentment of the past. When I met him I experienced the same happiness which was felt by the Holy Prophetas of Arabia, on his encounter with Ḥaḍrat Umar Faruq. When he came and met with me, I forgot all my sor- rows. I found him like the ones who compete with each other in help- ing the Faith. No other financial help has been beneficial to me in a way as compared to that of his help, which he did purely for the cause of Allah. And he has been doing so for a long time. He surpassed his contemporaries in virtue and financial sacrifice. Besides, his humility is him steadfast among those who are steadfast. And among them is my beloved of Allah, Hakeem Faḍl-ud-Din of Bhera, and my beloved of Allah, Shaikh Rahmatullāh of Gujarat. And my beloved of Allah, Sayyid Amir 'Ali Shāh and Sayyid Hamid Shāh, and my beloved of Allah, Munshi Ghulām Qadir, known as al-Fașiḥ [the Eloquent One of Sialkot]. And my beloved of Allah, Nawwāb Muḥammad 'Ali Khān, Chief of Malerkotla, and my beloved of Allah, Sayyid Muhammad Tafadḍul Husain of Otawah. And my beloved of Allah, Sayyid-ul-Ḥādi. And my beloved in Allah, Muḥammad Khān. And Munshi Muḥammad Arorā. And Munshi Zafar Aḥmad of Kapurthala, and my be- loved of Allah, Maulawi Muḥammad Mardān 'Ali and Maulawi Muḥammad Mazhar 'Ali of Hyderabad. And my beloved of Allah, al-Maulawi Burhān-ud- Din of Jhelum. And my beloved of Allah, Mir Nasir Nawwab of Delhi, and my beloved in Allah, al-Qāḍī Diyā'-ud-Dīn of Qāḍī Kot. And my beloved in Allah, al-Maulawi Sayyid Muhammad ‘Askarī Khān, and my beloved in Allah, Qāḍī Ghulam Murtaḍā, and my beloved in Allah, ‘Abdul-Ḥakīm Khān, and my beloved in Allah, Rashid-ud-Din Khān, and my beloved in Allah, Sayyid Khaşlat ‘Ali Shāh, and my beloved in Allah, Munshi Rustam ‘Alī. And my beloved, Munshi 'Abdullāh of Sanur, and Mirzā Muḥammad Yusuf Baig of Samana, and Munshi Muḥammad Husain of Moradabad, and Qāḍī Khwajah 'Ali of Ludhiana. These are among my beloved ones; some of them we have mentioned, and some of them we have not mentioned, and all of them are among the sincere ones. Author
