564 Α'ΙΝΑ-Ε-ΚΑMĀLĀT-E-ISLAM-DAFI UL-WASĀWIS are the helpers of the Faith. His name, like his excellent qualities, is Noor-ud-Deen [the Light of the Faith] from Bhera. His lineage traces back to the Quraish and further to the family of ‘Umar Fārūqra. He is one of the great scholars of Islam and from the spiritual progeny of pious and righteous people. After meeting with him I regained the con- tentment of the past. When I met him I experienced the same happiness which was felt by the Holy Prophetsas of Arabia, on his encounter with Hadrat Umar Fārūqra. When he came and met with me, I forgot all my sor- rows. I found him like the ones who compete with each other in help- ing the Faith. No other financial help has been beneficial to me in a way as compared to that of his help, which he did purely for the cause of Allah. And he has been doing so for a long time. He surpassed his contemporaries in virtue and financial sacrifice. Besides, his humility is him steadfast among those who are steadfast. And among them is my beloved of Allah, Hakeem Fadl-ud-Din of Bhera, and my beloved of Allah, Shaikh Rahmatullah of Gujarat. And my beloved of Allah, Sayyid Amir 'Alī Shah and Sayyid Hamid Shāh, and my beloved of Allah, Munshi Ghulam Qadir, known as al-Faşīḥ [the Eloquent One of Sialkot]. And my beloved of Allah, Nawwab Muhammad 'Alī Khan, Chief of Malerkotla, and my beloved of Allah, Sayyid Muhammad Tafaddul Husain of Otawah. And my beloved of Allah, Sayyid-ul-Hādī. And my beloved in Allah, Muhammad Khan. And Munshi Muhammad Arorā. And Munshi Zafar Ahmad of Kapurthala, and my be- loved of Allah, Maulawi Muhammad Mardān 'Alī and Maulawi Muhammad Mazhar 'Alī of Hyderabad. And my beloved of Allah, al-Maulawi Burhān-ud- Din of Jhelum. And my beloved of Allah, Mīr Nāşir Nawwab of Delhi, and my beloved in Allah, al-Qādī Diyā'-ud-Din of Qādī Kot. And my beloved in Allah, al-Maulawi Sayyid Muhammad 'Askarī Khān, and my beloved in Allah, Qādī Ghulam Murtadā, and my beloved in Allah, 'Abdul-Hakim Khān, and my beloved in Allah, Rashīd-ud-Din Khan, and my beloved in Allah, Sayyid Khaşlat 'Alī Shāh, and my beloved in Allah, Munshi Rustam 'Alī. And my beloved, Munshi 'Abdullah of Sanur, and Mirzā Muhammad Yūsuf Baig of Samana, and Munshi Muhammad Husain of Moradabad, and Qādī Khwajah 'Alī of Ludhiana. These are among my beloved ones; some of them we have mentioned, and some of them we have not mentioned, and all of them are among the sincere ones. Author
