526 Ā'ĪNA-E-KAMĀLĀT-E-ISLĀM―DĀFI‘UL-WASĀWIS that the chair in which the Holy Prophet, may peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, was sitting began to rise till it reached up to the ceiling and I noticed that the face of the Holy Prophet as began to shine as if reflecting the rays of the sun and the moon. I was watching his blessed countenance and my tears were flowing out of delight and ecstasy. Then I woke up and I was still weeping profusely. Allah the Almighty then put it in my mind that the dead person in my dream was Islam and that Allah the Almighty would revive it at my hands through the spiritual power of the Holy Prophet, may peace and blessings of Allah be upon him. You may be unaware that this time is fast approach- ing; so, await for it eagerly. In this dream the Holy Prophet, may peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, nurtured me with his blessed hands, through his holy words and through his light and the gifted fruit. Therefore, I am his student without any intermediary between him and me, and indeed such is the state of the recipients of Divine revelations. One day, when I had just finished the evening Prayer and was fully awake, overtaken by neither sleep nor slumber, I suddenly heard the knocking of the door. I saw the knockers hurriedly approaching me. When they came close to me, I recognized them to be five blessed per- sons; namely, Ali along with his two sons, his wife [Fățimah] az-Zahrā' [the Bright One], and the Chief of the Prophets, may Allah send bless- ings and peace upon him and his progeny until the Day of Judgment. I saw that az-Zahra' put my head on her thigh and looked at me with love. I could recognize her by her face and I realized in my heart that I have an association with Husain and resemble him in some of his characteristics and in the events of his life. Allah knows for verily He is the All-Knowing. I saw that 'Ali, may Allah be pleased with him, showed me a book and said, 'This is a commentary of the Quran which I have compiled, and which God has commanded me to give to you.
