AN ADDENDUM MY LIFE, ANCESTORS, AND BRETHREN IN FAITH 523 and the clean-handed wish to bury her beneath the earth or cast her into the deepest abyss. All praise belongs to Allah! I repeat: All praise belongs to Allah! Surely, it is He who has granted me a great share of its (i. e. Quran) lights, removed my poverty with its pearls, satiated me with its fruits, blessed me with its inner and outer blessings, and made me among those who are lost in God. I was young and I am now old, but every time I knocked on a door it was opened for me. Every blessing I sought was given to me, and every matter I wanted to know was disclosed to me, and whatever I prayed for earnestly and humbly was granted to me. It was all on account of my love for the Holy Quran and the Chief of the Prophets, my master and guide. May Allah send down as much peace and blessings upon him as there are stars in the sky and particles upon the earth! it It was purely out of this love within my nature that Allah was with me since my birth, since I was a baby in the lap of my mother, or was studying with fellow students. When I reached the age of 20 years, was made dear to my heart that I should serve the Faith and enter into debate with Hindus and Christian priests. I wrote down many valuable treatises and books regarding these debates; one of them is Barāhīn-e- Ahmadiyya- ―a unique book, the like of which had never been written. The one who doubts should peruse it. I have drawn out the swords of conclusive arguments against the views of the disbelievers, have thrown shooting stars on the devilish liars, and through this drawn sword have I lowered the head of every opponent. The disgracefulness of these opponents has been exposed squarely before the traditional and rational scholars. This book is replete with fine points and insights of deep knowledge, replete with true and pious revelations as well as great visions with their context. It is filled with everything that illumines the pearls of wisdom of the Mighty Faith [Islam].
